About Us


Southern Oaks Rehabilitation & Healthcare provides a wide range of skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for both short stay recovery, as well as ongoing supportive services for individuals requiring long-term care. Our focus is on improving the quality of life for those we serve through our orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, wound care services as well as interventions for other medically complex diagnoses, admitting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We can help avoid readmission to the hospital when a patient goes home to quickly by offering caring staff with 24/7 assistance and quality therapy to insure a smooth transition. With our Team Care approach, we will work to make the transition home smooth and safe.

Today we would like to introduce you to Shelby Reid. Shelby was born and raised in Piedmont, SC. She has been married for 28 years to her childhood sweetheart and they have two handsome sons, one daughter in law and two granddaughters. Shelby says she loves to sing gospel music and spending time with family and friends. She also loves to spend all her spare time with her two granddaughters, Eliana and Eliza. She and her husband love to travel and frequent the mountains. Shelby first started working at Southern Oaks in 1997 where she completed her CNA training. Later in 2002 she became a Certified Pharmacy Technician and continued that career for 9 years. She says that she still wanted to pursue her career in nursing and in 2010 she graduated from Greenville Technical College with an Associates Degree in Nursing. Shelby says that she has enjoyed her nursing career path in many areas but in 2016 she wanted to return home to Southern Oaks. Shelby stated, "I feel very fortunate for the opportunity to return full time on the long care unit. I am truley blessed beyond measures."
